Global warming consequences

 Among the many consequences of global warming and climate change, the following stand out:

*Weather changes (droughts, heat waves or torrential rains).

*Melting of the polar ice caps.

*Loss of habitat for many species, which will lead to the accelerated extinction of some of them.

*Ocean level rise and water warming

What is climate change?

 Climate change refers to long-term changes in temperatures and weather patterns. These changes may be natural, but human activities have accelerated the process of climate change through the burning of fossil fuels such as coal, oil and gas. The burning of fossil fuels generates greenhouse gas emissions, which act like a blanket around the Earth, trapping the sun's heat and raising temperatures.  Examples of greenhouse gas emissions that cause climate change include carbon dioxide and methane.
